Tomato Red (& doing the right thing)

I bought this silk tunic and trousers from Max Mara's pre-fall 2012 collection. I love how it incorporates a bright color but in a very clean and polished way. It's been so hot and muggy that I hadn't yet had an occasion to wear it so imagine my disappointment when the perfect day arrived and I found a little tear in the sleeve. I don't know how I missed it when I bought it, but I did. Unfortunately, this was not a seam that had come undone but instead it was a proper tear. I took it back to Max Mara who sent it out to their tailor. I had my doubts that they would be able to fix it but they called me the next day saying it had been repaired. I have to say that I couldn't even tell there had been a tear by looking at it but when I tried it on, it was a wee bit tighter in the arms where the tear was. In the end, they did the right thing by being kind enough to give me a new one.
