Studs and Stripes Forever

Daily Outfit
I had a long and tough workweek by Tuesday so I was thankful for the holiday yesterday. I wore a basic Gap T, H&M skirt and Zara studded sandals to spend the afternoon lazing about. I went over to my friend Elisha's where the two of us had a staycation in her back garden which consisted of lunching, gabbing, catching up on magazines and late afternoon wine and cheese. It was just what I needed to decompress. There's something to be said for having a day with a good friend and without the distraction of the computer or the proverbial dishes in the sink.

Those are the best holidays. Glad you had a relaxing holiday.
Didn't today feel like a Monday though? I'm so confused by the holiday in the middle of the week- I feel like this whole week was a loss. Oh well! You look adorable as always. Did you get that skirt at H&M recently?
xo
Hey Kara,
I DID feel like it was Monday today. It was very odd. But I'm happy tomorrow is Friday.
I got the skirt a few months back and got a plain black one too. It's so comfy and easy to wear.
Have a great weekend!
Hi Marita,
I hope you had a great weekend too!
What a lovely, lovely blog! I've spent the past hour looking through all your gorgeous outfits! (while half listening to Anderson Cooper discuss Tom Cruise's divorce -- your blog is infinitely more interesting).
I adore the striped H&M skirt on you. This is the type of outfit that I'm always trying to achieve -- feminine, stylish, yet comfortable. You've provided me with lots of inspiration. :)
P.S. I LOVE when you feature yellow. It's so rare to see (it's my favorite color, yet I never wear it). You look stunning in every outfit.
Your 4th of July sounded like the perfect day! Love your casual chic outfit too! xo
I have this same skirt and I LOVE IT. I really like your casual styling of it here - it works perfectly for a holiday or for a casual afternoon. Hope you had a great Fourth, and that the rest of your week was a little less hectic!
