I received this beautiful bouquet from Winston Flowers to cheer me up last week.
I love Chinese takeout and I'm a sucker for a Chinese American favorite like beef with broccoli. I do prefer though to know the quality of the ingredients so when I saw this recipe recently, I thought I would give it a try. I made it with grass fed beef and organic broccoli that I bought at Whole Foods. I found it quite tasty and something I would make again.
Saturday night some friends and I had dinner at Gennaro's in the North End. This is a picture of me with Chef Marissa Iocco who has a long history of whipping up the most fabulous Italian cuisine in Boston. We're going again next weekend so I'll give you a full report then.
