Weekend Tidbits - Tom Ford Nail Polish

Weekend Tidbits
During my weekend jaunt to Neiman Marcus, I bought a couple of new Tom Ford nail polishes. I know this picture looks like they are the same color but on the right is Bitter Bitch which is a full bodied wine color and on the left is Viper which is a gorgeous deep purple.
I went out to get a manicure on Saturday and used Bitter Bitch.
For dinner Sunday I cooked myself a grass fed ribeye that I bought at Whole Foods. I simply seasoned each side with Kosher salt and black pepper, cooked each side for about 4 minutes on medium high heat. I served it with a salad with hearts of palm and some broccoli.

And I can't forget to mention that Saturday Neiman Marcus had celebrity stylist Brandon Martinez giving blow outs. He gave me lots of height at the crown which was super fun for a change of pace. He has a fabulous line of products (I bought the dry shampoo).
As for other fun events at Neiman Marcus in Boston, next Saturday Shawn Kelly, the makeup artist for Le Mêtier de Beautê is hosting a fabulous makeup event. I love this line of makeup so you'll definitely find me there!

Your hair looks so cute. My hairdresser will always do something with height and volume when I get my hair done. It is fun but I never can reproduce it at home without looking like the 80's. You have inspired me to try some side swept bangs. I have loved your "do".
ooh i love how he flipped your hair out! i went to blo a while back when i had very little hair to work with and they somehow managed to style it! its amazing what a hair stylist can do!

Hello A Girl in Boston!
I was interested in the 'dry shampoo' you are referencing on this post.
My daughter has very long and very thick hair. She cannot go one day without shampooing or it appears oily. She just started her first job at Price Waterhouse Cooper after graduating from UCSB in June, 2012. She follows your style blog and was interested in whether or not this dry shampoo is for the day in between shampoos? She is working 16 hour days and studying for the CPA exam so I was hoping you could share anything that could help her time management.
Thank you,
Mary Louise
Hi Mary Louise,
Thanks for your comments. Interestingly enough, I started my career at PwC (though at the time it was Price Waterhouse), I could relate then, and can relate now, to working such long hours. Wish her the best of luck in her career and on the CPA exam. It's a tough exam but it's worth having CPA on your resume! PwC is truly a great place to begin one's career. It is a place where you can learn so much and it opens many doors throughout a career.
Now on to more important things...hair! I generally wash my hair every other day and in between use a dry shampoo. So far I like the Brandon Martinez one which is new to me but I've also always liked the Bumble and Bumble version.
